I always enjoy my outdoor birds. I put up bird feeders in several places near my house, & especially near a window so we can watch them. I like to encourage the pretty birds, so I avoid small bird seed which usually draw Sparrows. I use larger sunflower seeds & those draw the beautiful birds like Cardinals, & even a few Woodpeckers. Some bird feeders have a place to put suet, which Woodpeckers love. Many feeders can be put right outside a widow of your houe. Not too far from the bird feeder I have a birdbath. It’s fun to watch them bathe, flipping their wings to get the water on themselves.

When wintertime hits it’s hard for them to find water. You can use a birdbath & put a heater in it, but then you need to have it near electricity. I love solar items, & now you can find a solar powered birdbath.
You won’t need to worry about running electricity to it plus you can put it anywhere you’d like. You just need to be sure it gets enough sunshine.

Now you can enjoy your birds year round no matter what the temperature is outside, because providing them with food & water you will see a lot of lovely birds coming to your area.
