Painting Pottery

If you’re wanting to give a gift, no matter what the occasion, a piece of pottery painted by you is a wonderful keepsake. I’ve been buying my pottery from a reputable person who owns a shop. They give classes or if you just want to paint your piece @ the shop they’ll help you get started or answer any questions I’ve seen families w/ their children painting items together, or just an individual. There are many items to choose from to paint. I’ve done many spoon holders for gifts & painted usually the family dog or a topic they’re interested in, maybe a deer since they like to hunt.

It takes a while to figure out how much paint to apply to the piece you’re working on, so ask for help if you aren’t familiar with painting on pottery.

I’ve worked on many plates used for trophies at events & thoroughly enjoy giving specific items as gifts to my friends or family members, & be sure to sign & date your piece too to make it extra special.

It’s fun to see how they turn out after they’ve been fired.
